About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our accounting function, you will be responsible for managing our property portfolio, overseeing financial management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review monthly property income statements
- Supervise the Property Accounting Function
- Review debtors and recommend actions on arrears
- Tenants review and tenant liaison
- Review matched recovery reports
- Cash flow report review
- Balance sheet controls review
- Inter-company loan accounts management
- All reconciliations are reviewed
- Accruals Capital WIP Debtors Statutory controls Subsidiary Investment accounts
- Ensure time-critical payments are actioned within timeframes (Bond installments, Tax payments, Intercompany funding transfers, Dividends, Shareholder requirements)
- Ensure municipal services accounts are paid on time, and services are not cut off
- Monthly Board reporting packs completion, review, and distribution
- Board decisions implementation and progress follow-up
- Propco Annual Financial statements completion, and audit process management
- All Income & VAT Tax Returns submission
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred)
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is between R500,000 – R700,000 per annum.
