About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (Cost Engineer) to join our team in Mokopane, South Africa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering and contract management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Prepare and submit tender documents and bids
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas for cost savings
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Requirements
- Postgraduate diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (advantageous)
- Registered professional with SACQS
- Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in mining, heavy industrial, or infrastructure environments
- Advanced professional knowledge in cost engineering and contract management
Qualifications
- Contract Law & Advanced Cost Control courses (advantageous)
