About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at The Talent Room in Mossel Bay. As a key member of our cafe, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, specialty drinks)
- Operate coffee machines and maintain equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment
- Take customer orders accurately and handle payments
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the workspace
- Assist with stock control and restocking supplies
- Follow health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and milk techniques (advantageous)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience with POS systems
