Location: Mpumalanga
Salary: R 900.000 -1.mil
Our client in the utilities Industry is looking to hire a Plant Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To plan, coordinate and control activities, and manage assets to ensure acceptable standards of financial performance.
• To ensure that the process and product quality of the plant meets acceptable international and customer standards.
• To ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Adhere to minimum standards and apply best practices.
• To ensure that the image, personnel, and management enhanced in all relationships with external stakeholders.
• To create a culture and climate in the plant that supports and develops a learning organization.
QUALIFICATION
• BSc Degree – Chemical Engineering required.
• Certificate in Operations Management will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing Water Treatment Plants, preferably within the Mining industry.
• Certificate of fitness is a prerequisite for employment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Business aptitude – ability for understanding and using financial, marketplace, consumer, and economic information. It includes specific aptitudes such as financial management, consumer understanding, risk assessment, etc.
• Technical aptitude – capacity for using specific knowledge, tools, or other equipment to enhance performance. It includes specific aptitudes such as understanding water and chemical processes, management information systems, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude – capacity for understanding, operating, and modifying mechanical devices. It includes specific aptitudes such as mechanical reasoning, object assembly, etc.
• Leadership orientation – ability to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
• Excellent communication skills
