About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Shaft Foreman to join our client’s dynamic team in Mpumalanga. As a key member of the mining operation, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the shaft and ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of minerals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of miners and timbermen within the shaft environment
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Plan and organize blasting operations to maximize efficiency
- Monitor and control production levels to meet targets
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues or concerns
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Miner/Timberman within a shaft environment
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role
- National Senior Certificate
- Onsetters Certificate
- Blasting Certificate for scheduled mines
