Mpumalanga: Underground Diesel Mechanic Foreman posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolves client is seeking a skilled Underground Diesel Mechanic Foreman to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of diesel mechanics who are responsible for the maintenance and repair of underground diesel equipment at the mine site. The Underground Diesel Mechanic Foreman will also be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with company safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of diesel mechanics in the maintenance and repair of underground diesel equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment is kept in optimal working condition.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
• Provide training and mentorship to diesel mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of diesel equipment maintenance and repair processes.
• Experience working in an underground mining environment is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
