Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN
- Design MCCs, PLC panels, VFD panels, and power distribution systems
- Generate BOMs, cable schedules, and terminal plans
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, SANS, UL, or relevant standards
- Collaborate with project engineers, mechanical engineers, and workshop teams
- Review and update drawings based on client feedback and site modifications
- Support manufacturing and commissioning teams with technical documentation
- Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation control
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of electrical design experience using EPLAN Electric P8
- Strong understanding of LV/MV systems and control panel design
- Knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley)
- Familiarity with industrial automation and instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
