About the Role

The Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) is seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Risk, Environment & Quality (SHREQ) Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safe and healthy working conditions in our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SHREQ policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and implement root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain environmental management plans and programs.
• Ensure compliance with mining health and safety standards (MHSA) and environmental regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on SHREQ policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Degree or National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Mining Engineering or related field.
• COMSOC 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 to 10 years mining SHREQ experience.
• At least 5 years in a management capacity within SHREQ.
• Proven experience in MHSA compliance, environmental compliance and risk management.
