About the Role
A Locum Dentist is sought for a modern, patient-focused healthcare practice in Newcastle, Northern KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be an experienced General Practitioner with a strong passion for delivering high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Examinations
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Crowns and bridge work
- Root canal therapy
- Periodontal procedures
- Understanding of dental radiography and diagnostic imaging
- Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilisation protocols
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with dental assistants and administrative personnel
- Strong time management and record-keeping skills
Requirements
- BChD, BDS or equivalent recognised Dental Degree
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Eligible to practice independently within South Africa
- Experience within private practice advantageous
- Sound knowledge of restorative and preventative dentistry
- Ability to perform routine dental procedures
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: BChD, BDS or equivalent recognised Dental Degree; Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
