About the Role
An opportunity for an experienced RETAIL FINANCIAL MANAGER is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle. This role requires a strong, hands-on financial leader with solid retail experience, strong integrity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial processes and operations
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve profitability
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets
- Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a Financial Manager in a RETAIL environment
- Strong knowledge of retail POS systems, stock control, and financial processes
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, Omni, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance / Cost & Management Accounting
