Job Summary

About the role
As our staff grows the HR Candidate will provide administrative support to the HR team, assist in recruitment efforts, and help develop employee engagement initiatives. They will also conduct research, analyze data, and provide insights to inform HR decisions. Additionally, they will gain hands-on experience in HR operations, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, and build relationships with HR professionals. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field, looking to gain practical experience and build a career in HR.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team in various administrative tasks, such as data entry, record-keeping, and document management, especially on the timekeeping of employees.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating onboarding processes.
  • Help develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, such as training programs, team-building activities, and recognition schemes.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform HR decisions, such as employee turnover, training needs, and benefits administration.
  • Provide support for employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
  • Generate reports on HR metrics and monthly HR-required reports
  • Ensure compliance with labor-related laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems is an advantage.
  • South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
  • Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
