About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Retail Store Manager to join our team in Paarl. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels and ordering
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
- Oversee daily cash management and minimize losses
- Lead employee recruitment, training, and development programs
- Implement effective inventory control systems to reduce shrinkage
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
- Prior knowledge and experience in management of inventory/stock, buying, staff, products merchandising, costs, and profitability of the store
- Basic understanding of stock management systems like ERP, Meat matrix, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of FMCG environment and related legislation
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma/Degree in Retail or Business or related qualification
- Completed any additional relevant certifications or training
