About the Role
Stellenpak, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, is seeking a hardworking individual to act as Fruit Packing Supervisor (FPS) during the peak season. During off-season, the incumbent will function as a packer. The company is looking for a motivated and performance-oriented candidate to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the functioning of the packing area on a packing line
- Ensure that packers, line workers, and scale operators know what is expected of them in respect of the packing plan
- Ensure that BRC requirements and all other procedures and standards are complied with
- Ensure that staff productivity targets are realised
- Supervise the packing of pallets to ensure pallets are packed responsibly and safely
- Ensure that palletisers know what is expected of them in respect of the packing plan
- Report deviations to Packing Line Manager
Requirements
- Grade 12 (preferable)
- 3 years experience as a packer
- Needs to live in or nearby Simondium
- Highly motivated and performance-orientated
- Resilient and ability to adapt to change
- Results-orientated
- Very accurate and thorough
- Excellent conflict management skills
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Leadership & motivational skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (if applicable)
- Relevant experience in fruit packing or a related field
