A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent SECTOR : Engineering BASIC SALARY : R135 per hour negotiable START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: Matric (Grade 12) Trade Certificate or relevant qualification in Machining, Fitting & Turning, or a related field Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience on relevant machinery Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Dependable and reliable Excellent problem-solving skills DUTIES: Set up and operate conventional milling and turning machines to manufacture components according to technical drawings and specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure precision machining. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments to optimize machining operations. Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure components meet required tolerances. Monitor machine performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Maintain and clean machines, tools, and work areas to ensure safe and effective operation. Identify and troubleshoot machining errors and material defects, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and company quality standards. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to improve processes and optimize production. HOURS: Monday to Thursday: 07:45 16:30 (30 minute break from 13:00 13:30) Friday: 07:45 15:00 (30 minute break from 11:00 11:30)
