About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Field Guide to join our team at a private game reserve near Philippolis. As a Field Guide, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wildlife preservation efforts while providing unforgettable safari experiences for international guests. With a strong focus on conservation and safety, we are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable about wildlife but also possesses excellent communication skills and a warm, friendly demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting guided safaris for international guests, specializing in exclusive and photographic safaris
- Ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests throughout their safari experience
- Hosting guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing informative and engaging insights
- Facilitating guest transfers to and from the safari destination when required
- Creating compelling content for social media platforms through still and video photography
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum FGASA Level 1 (NQF Level 2) qualification
- DEAT registration
- CATHSSETA registration
- First Aid Level 1 certification
- Rifle Competency for wildlife management and guest safety
- Valid Drivers License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Own vehicle for personal transport
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12
- FGASA Level 1 qualification
- DEAT registration
- CATHSSETA registration
- First Aid Level 1 certification
