About the Role
The Creditors Clerk position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Trusts accounts payable system and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices
- Maintain the Trusts accounts payable system
- Perform general bookkeeping duties
- Maintain accurate financial records on accounting software
- Complete cashbook reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently studying towards a qualification)
- 23 years relevant experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE 300)
- Strong Excel skills and overall computer literacy
- Good organisational skills with accurate and timeous data capturing
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
