About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support furnace systems used in metal mining, providing on-site technical support and building strong relationships with mine managers, supervisors, and technical buyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support and commissioning assistance for assay furnace temperature control systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot thyristor panels, PID controllers, and furnace automation hardware
- Conduct technical site visits to support rollout, maintenance, and optimisation of control systems
- Liaise with engineering and service teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mine managers, supervisors, and technical buyers
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, retrofits, or service improvements
- Compile technical feedback and support reports for internal teams and customers
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with thyristor control panels and furnace temperature control systems
- Minimum 3 years in field service, applications support, or technical client liaison role
- Understanding of PID loops, SCRs, SSRs, and furnace heating logic
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on-site
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and reporting skills
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to mine sites
