Requirements:

Matric is essential. Must be qualified as a Draughtsman. Minimum 3 years as a Laser Programmer within the Automotive Industry. Must be fluent on MS Office. Programming experience on TruTops Boost. Key Performance Areas: Reporting to the Production Superintendent: Program, perform and run TruTops Boost program. Ensure that all safety protocols are being followed and adhered to. Ensure that daily minimum targets are met by supplying the laser for both day- and night shifts. Quality check program in accordance to Quality standards set out. Daily reports (scrap management and daily programming). Minimise wastages, rejects and scrap during programming. Reduce offcuts in WIP by programming for Operators to cut. Read and interpret complex schematics or technical drawings and troubleshoot accordingly. Stock counts. Time studies. Competencies: Effective time management. Able to troubleshoot when problems arise on the drawings or machine. Communicate effectively with Development Engineers and Plant personnel. Ensure all parts are programmed with correct quantities. Ensure that all drawings are updated, and the latest products are being programmed. Able to use various measuring equipment like tape measure, vernier, scale, etc.
