About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and service-driven Guesthouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our luxury guesthouse in Polokwane, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, hands-on, and passionate about hospitality, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day guesthouse operations
Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
Ensure outstanding guest service and handle guest queries and complaints professionally
Supervise and manage housekeeping and support staff
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Monitor stock levels and manage supplier relationships
Handle basic financial administration, reporting, and budgeting
Ensure smooth operational flow and service excellence

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality or guesthouse/hotel management
Strong leadership and staff management skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Computer literate (reservations systems, email, basic reporting)
