Job Summary

Key Performance Areas: Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain clear and effective communication with workshop staff (supervisors and controllers) and customers. Ensure compliance with OHSACT regulations on company and client premises, maintaining a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety devices, following standards and procedures, and adhering to legal regulations. Continuously enhance job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities. Execute high-quality workmanship on material handling components and the fabrication of new parts. Safely and efficiently operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, welders, and other equipment. Perform tasks in accordance with industry standards to ensure quality and compliance. Qualifications and Requirements Education: Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification. Technical Qualification: Certified as a Welder, Turner, Machinist, Fitter, or Boiler Maker. Experience with forklifts or similar material handling equipment is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Skills and Competencies Strong work ethichonest, reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in work. Excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities with a strong sense of urgency. Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels within an organization. Commitment to service excellence, attention to detail, and accuracy. Proficiency in Englishmust be able to read, write, and converse fluently. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of using initiative. Capable of working under pressure and adhering to safety measures and precautions. Competence in interpreting technical documents, schematics, and manufacturer specifications. Skilled in utilizing specialized tools correctly and effectively. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and models. Ability to accept constructive criticism and apply feedback. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to contribute positively to the work environment. Excellent time management and scheduling abilities to ensure timely task completion. Must be physically fit, capable of lifting, moving heavy objects, and enduring long periods of standing, sitting, bending, stretching, and reaching. Must maintain sober habits, possess high energy levels, and be in good general health. Willingness to work standby shifts and overtime as required to meet industry and client demands. Required Certifications and Licenses Trade Test Certificate (Machinist, Welder, Fitter, Boiler Maker). Valid Code 8 Drivers License (required for field service technicians).
