About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Projects department team in Port Elizabeth. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects from receipt of customer orders to full project sign-off and payment by the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with project sales department in establishing cost and time effective concepts for customer beneficial use.
- Establish full understanding of the scope of work on project inception.
- Obtain all customers requirements for the order received.
- Assess the feasibility of requirement for the order received.
- Continually liaise with customer ensuring project requirements e.g., technical specifications, drawings, etc. are made available timeously, as well as supplying updated project status reports.
- Establish a project plan, accommodating financial and timing constraints supporting order requirements.
- Determine resource requirements for the established project plan.
- Liaise with customers to consolidate and finalise the project timing and delivery arrangements.
- Manage date changes on the project schedule and effect them as necessary.
- Ensure successful completion of the project with the support of a structured Project management team (Hods).
- Chair weekly scope of work meetings to consolidate project status with project management team.
Requirements
- Formal Schooling/Degree: Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Qualified Artisan or Project Management degree advantageous
- Languages: English (speak, read, write) Afrikaans (speak, read, write) German (Advantageous)
- Drivers License: Code 08 required
- Skills: Computer Literate (MS Office), Good communication, Organizational skills
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics or Project Management degree.
