About the Role
The Project Manager position is a critical role within our Projects department, responsible for managing and coordinating projects from receipt of customer orders to full project sign-off and payment by the customer. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and experience in project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with project sales department to establish cost and time effective concepts for customer beneficial use.
- Establish a full understanding of the scope of work on project inception.
- Obtain all customers’ requirements for the order received.
- Assess the feasibility of requirements for the order received.
- Continually liaise with customers ensuring project requirements, such as technical specifications and drawings, are made available timeously, along with supplying updated project status reports.
- Establish a project plan accommodating financial and timing constraints supporting order requirements.
- Determine resource requirements for the established project plan.
- Liaise with customers to consolidate and finalise project timing and delivery arrangements.
- Manage date changes on the project schedule.
- Ensure successful completion of the project, as established and determined by received orders.
- Chair weekly scope of work meetings to consolidate project status with the project management team.
Requirements
- Formal Schooling/Degree: Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics or Project Management degree advantageous
- Languages: English (speak, read, write) Afrikaans (speak, read, write) German (advantageous)
- Drivers License: Code 08 required
- Skills: Computer Literate (MS Office), Good communication, Organizational skills
