Job Description
Our client in the Manufacturing Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Setter (Injection Moulding) to their team in Port Elizabeth.
The Injection Moulding Machine (IMM) Setter coordinates and optimises production activities, ensuring products meet customer quality and delivery requirements. This role is responsible for process control, machine settings, and motivating staff to achieve operational targets, including scrap reduction, cycle time efficiency, and quality improvements.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (minimum).
- Level 4 Plastic Federation Injection Machine Setting Certificate (NQF6).
- Minimum 3 years in IMM setting, process optimisation, and plastics manufacturing.
- Previous shift supervisory experience advantageous.
- Able to work under pressure, handle overtime, and manage diverse product lines.
- Swing Shift.
Responsibilities:

Set, monitor, and optimise all injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.

Ensure compliance with production schedules, customer specifications, and quality management systems (QMS).

Promote continuous quality improvement and adherence to environmental management systems (EMS).

Supervise production staff, including shift leadership and coordination of resources.

Ensure proper documentation, including setting sheets, inspection instructions, packaging, and transport details.

Liaise with all department managers, warehouse personnel, and machine operators to support production flow.

Conduct fault analysis, identify non-conforming products, and implement corrective actions.

Stand in for other setters as required and be available for overtime to meet production demands.

Maintain safe and clean working areas, following Health & Safety procedures, particularly when working with chemicals or lead-based products
