Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for a number of entities within the group (including month-end close, reconciling accounts, journal entries, fixed assets, and inter-company items)
• Prepare management reports, financial statements and budgets
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
• Support operational teams with financial input and cost-analysis across business units
• Drive process improvements and ensure accounting controls are in place
• Work closely with the finance manager and group senior management to deliver insights and analysis

The ideal candidate

• Holds a recognised accounting/finance degree
• Has completed SAIPA or SAICA articles (or equivalent)
• Is technically strong in accounting, familiar with IFRS/GRAP, comfortable with complex accounting environments
• Excellent analytical ability, good communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
• Based in or willing to relocate to Potchefstroom
• Delivery-oriented, with ambition to grow and take on more responsibility as the business expands
