About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Costing Clerk to join our team in Pretoria. As a Costing Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for shopfitting projects, analyzing costs, and assisting with client quotations. If you have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with QuickBooks and Pastel, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately calculating and preparing cost estimates for shopfitting and joinery projects.
- Reading and interpreting project plans to gather necessary information for costing.
- Analyzing and breaking down costs related to materials, labor, and overhead.
- Assisting in the preparation of client quotations and cost breakdowns for projects.
- Maintaining up-to-date pricing records and ensuring the accuracy of cost allocations.
- Working with production and procurement teams to monitor and track cost variations and variances.
- Identifying areas where costs can be optimized to improve project profitability.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in working with QuickBooks and Pastel.
- 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in the manufacturing or shopfitting industry.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and calculations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.
