About the Role
Blum and Hofmeyr, a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment for the mining industry, is seeking an experienced Draughtsperson to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the documentation, management, and updating of drawings, concepts, manufacturing, and designs within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the documentation, management, and updating of drawings, concepts, manufacturing, and designs.
- Employ both 2D and 3D modeling techniques.
- Ensure meticulous configuration control and maintain up-to-date document numbering.
- Categorize basic drawings.
- Draw electrical circuits.
- Maintain Draughting software (AutoCad and Inventor).
- Draw mechanical and assembly drawings, both 2D and 3D.
- Document control.
- Update and audit of drawings to actual mechanics or panels.
- Operate and manage 3D Printing machine, prototypes, and designs.
- Keep drawing register up to date.
- Laser machine operation.
- Printing stickers.
- Communicate with Directors and RND.
- Sheetmetal design, installations, 3D design, concept development, glamour shots.
- Production assistance.
- Make changes on mechanical drawings after development.
- Quality Control on site.
Requirements
- Matric.
- 2 – 3 years industry-specific experience.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Experience in AutoCad 2D and AutoCad Inventor.
- Experience in conversion and modification of different 3D standards such as .STP and .IPT Files.
