Based in Pretoria, you’ll step into a role where financial leadership meets operational grit. You’ll report directly to the Financial Director and take charge of strengthening controls, optimising processes, elevating reporting quality, and ensuring the finance team runs with peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy, insight, and speed
• Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS and tax standards
• Review and guide the work performed by Accountants
• Compile intercompany loan schedules and manage month-end journals
• Submit all statutory returns and maintain compliance with SARS
• Prepare income tax and provisional tax returns
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage cash flow and ensure financial stability across the business
• Oversee payroll accuracy and process integrity
•  Approve credit applications and maintain strong risk controls
• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Work directly with auditors and prepare audit information packs
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls that reinforce business discipline
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analyses

Job Experience and Skills Required

• CA(SA) preferred with at least 2 years post-articles experience
• Strong technical knowledge across IFRS, taxation, reporting, and audit
• Proven ability to implement, optimise, and enforce financial controls
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency
• Experience with Sage advantageous
• Solid experience managing teams and navigating fast-paced environments
• Ability to handle ad-hoc responsibilities and tight deadlines with confidence
