A well-established energy solutions company, specialising in residential power systems and solar technology, is expanding its finance leadership team. The organisation operates across installation projects, technical services and product supply, creating a finance environment with depth, variety and strong operational interfaces.

Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will oversee financial reporting, controls, compliance, team performance and financial planning. This role interacts closely with installation teams, operations, procurement and senior leadership, making strong organisational awareness and clear communication essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee month-end and year-end close
• Review journals, reconciliations and work completed by the accounting team
• Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Manage VAT, tax submissions, statutory reporting and SARS correspondence
• Prepare audit packs, support auditors and strengthen internal financial controls
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and payroll accuracy
• Approve credit applications and manage intercompany loan schedules
• Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure consistent performance
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide financial insight to operations and management
• Improve financial systems, reporting structures and accounting processes

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting (essential); BCom Honours advantageous
• 3–6 years’ experience in financial management or senior financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate tax and statutory compliance
• Experience improving controls, reporting processes and accounting structures
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage beneficial)
• Comfortable working across installations, project-based environments or technical service industries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High accuracy, sound judgment and confidence when working with senior stakeholders
• Experience with external and internal audits

Duties & Responsibilities:
