Job Description

Electronic Engineer Software, AI & ML Pretoria, Market-Related CTC (Negotiable)

A leading R&D engineering firm in the defence and security sector is seeking an Electronic Engineer with strong C++, embedded systems, and software development experience. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for technology and exposure to AI/ML or image processing.

Generation of relevant firmware, software and hardware documentation (e.g. SRS, SIRS, ATP, FDD, ICD, Product Spec, etc).

Key Requirements:

B.Eng in Electronic/Computer Engineering
Proficiency in C++ and embedded systems (required)
Software design, product development experience min 2 years experience
AI/ML or image processing exposure (advantageous)

What Youll Do:

Develop and test embedded and EO system software
Collaborate across engineering disciplines
Lead AI/ML algorithm evaluations and implementations
Mentor juniors and support production rollout
Participate in occasional international travel
