About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Commercial Litigator to join a dynamic legal team in Pietermaritzburg. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a portfolio of commercial litigation matters
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare opinions
- Represent clients in court and manage litigation processes
- Liaise with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders
- Ensure deadlines are met and matters are progressed efficiently
Requirements
Admitted Attorney
24 years post-articles experience in commercial litigation
Strong knowledge of civil procedure and court processes
Excellent drafting skills (pleadings, motions, and legal opinions)
Ability to manage matters independently from inception to completion
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
