Introduction
A leading electrical and construction group of companies are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee project cost accounting and track job costing for multiple construction sites.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and monthly reconciliations.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial alignment and compliance.
- Prepare financial statements and support external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in financial accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering sector but not a deal breaker.
- Solid understanding of job costing, revenue recognition, and project accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
