Job Description

Introduction

A leading electrical and construction group of companies are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee project cost accounting and track job costing for multiple construction sites.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and monthly reconciliations.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial alignment and compliance.
Prepare financial statements and support external audits.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in financial accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering sector but not a deal breaker.
Solid understanding of job costing, revenue recognition, and project accounting principles.
Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
