About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all housekeeping operations at Timbavati Safari Lodge, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the housekeeping team, allocate duties, manage rosters and ensure staff are trained in cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff accommodation to ensure standards are met.
- Manage linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment, ensuring stock availability and accurate records.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly, liaising with management as required.
- Provide ongoing training to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Prepare operational reports and assist with cost control.
- Assist with cleaning duties during peak periods or urgent situations.
Requirements
Strong leadership abilities, excellent attention to detail, clear communication skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities. Minimum of 3 years experience in a housekeeping supervisory role and prior experience in a hotel or lodge environment with 30 rooms or more. MUST be computer literate
