About the Role
The Foreclosure Secretary role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing the foreclosure process from default to sale in execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume collections and be proficient in handling complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle matters from default stage through to sale in execution
- Maintain strict diary and turnaround timelines
- Draft and send Letters of Demand & Section 129 notices
- Ensure valid delivery and legal compliance
- Draft and issue summons & particulars of claim
- Arrange service via sheriff and track returns
- Monitor defended vs undefended timelines
- Prepare default judgment applications
- Assist with defended matters and court prep
- Issue warrants of execution
- Instruct sheriff (attachment, nulla bona)
- Manage process to declare property executable
- Coordinate sale process and reserve price requirements
- Liaise with sheriffs, auctioneers, and attorneys
- Manage post-sale processes
- Liaise with FNB, attorneys, sheriffs
- Provide status updates and reporting
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- 35 years foreclosure experience
- Experience on bank panels (FNB preferred)
