Well established Law Firm is looking for a Legal Manager to join their dynamic team Minimum requirements: Strong administrative and process-driven approach High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and within a team Experience in a high-pressure, high-volume environment Quick learner with strong adaptability Experience on Excalibur (advantageous) Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Oversee daily team operations, ensuring productivity and adherence to processes Training & Performance: Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and implement development plans Legal Process Oversight: Manage end-to-end legal processes (Section 129 through to judgment) in line with regulatory requirements Process & Portfolio Management: Ensure all portfolio rules, workflows, and processes are correctly implemented and maintained Client Liaison & Reporting: Handle client queries and provide accurate, timely reporting Audit & Compliance: Support monthly and annual audits, ensuring compliance with required standards Process Documentation: Develop and maintain process and training manuals System & Template Management: Monitor system performance, identify enhancements, and ensure templates are accurate and up to date Document Control: Assist with scanning, filing, and storage of SLA documentation Sheriff Coordination: Manage communication with sheriffs, track service and execution of documents, follow up on outstanding matters, and ensure all updates are accurately recorded and reported Consultant: Celia Armstrong – Dante Personnel Pretoria Faerie Glen

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Manager to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of staff members, providing training and performance evaluations, and overseeing the management of our legal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of staff members
  • Provide staff training and conduct staff performance evaluations
  • Manage all rules and processes for each portfolio (S129 to Summons to Judgement)
  • Attend to client queries and respond to client reporting
  • Conduct monthly/yearly audits
  • Create process and training manuals
  • Identify potential system enhancements
  • Ensure accuracy of templates and locate them on the system
  • Monitor processes within the system, ensuring updates and imports are working effectively
  • Assist with scanning, filing, and storing SLA’s and Sheriff updates

Requirements

  • Strong administrative skills
