About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Draughtsman to join their team in the metal manufacturing industry in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and designs of mechanical components and equipment used in their manufacturing processes, working closely with engineers and technicians to produce accurate technical drawings that meet the requirements of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading of various drawings and ability to convert them into a Solidworks package
- Schedule assignments and communicate details to all individuals in the CAD department
- Participate in all production meetings
- Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications
- Do follow-up checks on completed drawings
- Create Data Packages
- Create cutting files
- Understand the bending, laser, machining, and welding procedures
- Use of all measuring tools
- Liaison with quality department
- Identifying various components with regard to drawings
- Make adjustments on drawings as required from other departments
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Mechanical Draughtsman in the metal manufacturing industry
- Solidworks (Sheet Metal) experience
- Autocad experience
- Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in using Measuring Equipment like Tape Measure/Vernier
