About the Role
Take your accounting expertise to the next level by managing crucial financial operations in a fast-paced and rewarding environment as a Senior Accounting Clerk.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily posting of transactions
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Daily submission of payments
- Assistance with approval of payments
- Issuing of debtor invoices
- Responsible for debtor and creditor function
- Posting of general journals and provisions
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Calculation of VAT
- Analysis of costs and allocations for completeness and accuracy
- Continuous communication between divisions to ensure allocation of costs
- External audit support
- Support management with ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification
- BCom Accounting qualification or currently studying a BCom Accounting degree will be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting environment with relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in bank payments
- Minimum 1 year of experience in processing journals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office specifically in Excel
