About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our development team, you will lead the application lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the delivery of high-quality products that meet regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the application lifecycle by creating user stories and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Research technologies, design reusable architecture, provide project estimates, and track JIRA progress to mitigate risks.
- Lead development using high-quality code and standards, managing version control, test environments, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide stakeholders with clear updates on status, risks, and progress, maintaining system logs, release notes, and technical manuals.
- Contribute to team leadership through code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, fostering a collaborative culture, and contributing to technical recruitment.
- Ensure products meet FDA, CE, ISO, and SOC2 standards via QMS guidelines, safeguarding information per company policy.
Requirements
- Years of Experience: 8 years relevant experience in native Android development
- Required Qualifications:
- Essential: National Senior Certificate
- Desirable: Tertiary education diploma/degree relevant to software development
- Desirable: 3 year degree in computer science or equivalent
