About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Portfolio Manager to lead investment strategy for a respected financial services firm in Pretoria. With a minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing discretionary mandates, you will be responsible for developing and articulating the firm’s investment strategy, driving portfolio construction, and providing strategic advisory support to financial advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate the long-term investment strategy for multi-asset portfolios
- Lead portfolio construction and management for discretionary mandates
- Lead manager research and due diligence efforts
- Drive the implementation of innovative portfolio solutions
- Act as a strategic partner to financial advisors and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field (CFA is preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in portfolio management, multi-manager research, or investment consulting
- Proven track record managing discretionary mandates (unit trusts, hedge funds, ETFs, and alternatives)
- Strong understanding of South African and global investment markets, regulatory frameworks, and DFM (Discretionary Fund Manager) operations
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field
