Job Description

A well-established Specialist Orthopaedic Surgical Practice in Pretoria East is seeking a highly experienced and professional Senior Registered Nurse to join their team as soon as possible. This is a senior-level position suited to a confident and professionally presented nurse who is comfortable in patient-facing interactions and will serve as a key liaison within the practice. The role involves coordinating theatre bookings and managing surgical workflows with structure, accuracy, and professionalism. Position Details: Location: Pretoria East Start Date: As soon as possible Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Salary: ± R40,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications) Minimum Requirements: Registered Nurse qualification Active SANC registration 5–10 years’ experience in a hospital (required) or specialist practice setting (preferred) Experience in theatre coordination and surgical workflow management preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Must be willing to work full-time in Pretoria East Own reliable transport Preferred: BCur Nursing Degree preferred (experienced/ suitably qualified candidates will also be considered) Experience in an Orthopaedic practice Knowledge of medical aid authorisations and systems such as VeriClaim Strong administrative and surgical scheduling experience Key Competencies: Excellent organisational and time-management skills Confident and professional in patient-facing interactions Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong typing accuracy and administrative efficiency High attention to detail Ability to work independently and take initiative This opportunity is ideal for a senior nurse who thrives in a structured, specialist environment and takes pride in delivering professional, high-level patient care and administrative excellence.
