Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our client’s specialist hearing healthcare practice in Bryanston. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical practice environment, be patient-focused, and comfortable working with patients requiring ongoing care and support.

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient bookings and diary coordination
Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
Handle incoming calls and patient enquiries
Manage patient accounts, billing, and medical aid queries
Assist with medical aid authorisations and follow-ups
Perform general administrative and reception duties
Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems
Provide exceptional patient care, particularly in a sensitive healthcare setting

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
Minimum 3 years experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role
Experience with medical billing and medical aid processes
Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Syspro (Advantageous)
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
Clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted)

Salary & Benefits

Market-related salary, 12% employer contribution to the Provident Fund (includes risk cover benefits), partial medical aid contribution, quarterly performance bonuses, and 15 days annual leave.
