About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SME Credit Analyst to join our team in Pretoria. As a crucial member of our lending solutions provider, you will be responsible for assessing all viable new and repeat SME business deals and implementing them properly for various SME lending products. You will work closely with our Sales team and the Credit Committee to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess all loan applications allocated to you to process
- Conduct thorough Due Diligence on all loan applications, rejecting those that are not viable and submitting prospective good deals to the various Credit Committees for approval
- Implement approved loans properly up to the pay-out stage, including all relevant documentation on file, client and Executive Management signing digital loan documents, and clients receiving Proof of Payment and bonds registered with our Conveyancing Attorneys
- Deal with all client queries passed onto you, ensuring timely submission of required information
- Assist prospective clients in completing the online application form if necessary
- Conduct after-care visits or calls on all clients to ensure they are progressing well
- Follow up on clients who pay late or are in arrears
- Adhere strictly to our SME Credit Policy and Operating Procedures at all times
- Attend promotional events like SME exhibitions as part of a team, promoting and explaining our lending products to prospective clients
- Achieve and attempt to exceed budget targets allocated to you
- Perform any other tasks requested by Executive Management
Requirements
- Well-presented and well-spoken individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial nature required
- Ability to work meticulously fast and efficiently, being street-smart
- Strong financial knowledge and skills necessary
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and manage relationships
- Effective planning, organising, and time management skills required
Qualifications
- Computer literate with knowledge in Excel, Word, and MS Suite
- Minimum Grade 12, preferably a B.Com degree or diploma in Financial Management
- Experience in compiling Income Statements, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheets, and interpreting financial statements
- Previous experience in purchase order loans and business order loans advantageous
