Our client in the technology industry is looking for a UC Team Leader to be responsible for managing all project(s) he/she has been assigned to, in terms of providing the best possible service to the client by ensuring project accuracy and that the standard operating procedures of the Company are followed at all times.

Key responsibilities:

Support:
• Support of Audio Visual equipment;
• Providing remote/ telephonic support;
• Advanced fault-finding;
• Must be able to work independently and alone on site support.

Installations/Projects:
• Preparing equipment, cabling and consumables for installations according to the solution required;
• Preparing properly before attending to a site;
• Installation of Audio Visual equipment;
• Installation of cabling and determining cable runs;
• Termination of all Audio Visual cabling according to best practice standards;
• Video Conferencing and Audio Visual Equipment Configuration;
• Mounting of Audio Visual equipment on any surface required;
• Neatening and labelling racks;
• Implementing solutions according to technical schematics;
• Adhering to safety standards and regulations. This includes use of required PPE at all times;
• Keeping an installation site neat and clean;
• Comprehensive knowledge of proper tool usage and tool management;
• Manage and take responsibility for Equipment (laptop etc.).

General:
• Managing a UC installation team on a daily basis and within the field or on site;
• Liaising with suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues;
• Must be available to work overtime when required;
• Must be available to travel for installations when required;
• Completing training when required.

Administration:
• Important to complete site audit reports and job-reporting after project completion;
• Feedback to Technical Coordinator regarding job progress (must be available at all times and continuous communication with the Technical Coordinator is important);
• Ensure that the proper documentation is kept – site sign-off, delivery notes etc. and saved in the relevant folders on the server.

Minimum Requirements:
• Senior Certificate (essential);
• Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards;
• Minimum 2 – 4 year’s Audio Visual Experience;
• Strong knowledge of Audio Visual Systems;
• AMX, Crestron and Extron qualifications strong advantage;
• Proof of technical skills and experience;
• Must have valid driver’s licence.
