About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician or Electrical Assistant to join our growing team in Randburg, South Africa. As an integral part of our electrical services provider, you will have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise and work on dynamic projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Installations & Maintenance: Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on distribution boards (DBs) and cabling systems in line with industry standards.
- Fault Finding & Technical Support: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical faults efficiently to ensure minimal downtime and safe operations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to relevant electrical regulations, safety standards, and company procedures at all times.
- Independent Work Execution: Manage tasks independently on-site, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within set timelines.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide clear verbal feedback on daily tasks, progress, and any issues encountered to relevant stakeholders.
- Client Interaction: Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders on-site.
- Site Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating electrical work on-site, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are used effectively.
- Driving & Mobility: Travel to various sites as required to carry out electrical work and support operational needs.
Requirements
- Electrician qualification or relevant electrical experience.
- Valid drivers license.
- Familiarity with distribution boards (DB) and electrical cabling.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong verbal reporting skills as part of daily responsibilities.
- Ability to follow rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
