About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) to join our project management team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules within complex, multidisciplinary environments—preferably within the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP).
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather schedule requirements and incorporate them into the master project plan.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate schedule forecasts, critical path analyses, and variance reports.
- Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies to keep project timelines on track.
- Coordinate schedule updates during project meetings and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Provide clear, accurate reporting on planning metrics, milestones, and deadlines.
- Ensure that planning processes align with company policies, industry standards, and project governance requirements.
- Support cost, resource, and progress integration into the overall project control’s function.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project planning or scheduling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP).
- Proven experience managing schedules for medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
