About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Sabie, South Africa. As a key member of our yellow machinery maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues efficiently, while ensuring high-quality repairs and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections on heavy equipment to identify subtle signs of wear or damage
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues using strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Conduct quality repairs with a focus on yellow machines or similar heavy equipment
• Work in various weather conditions and environments, lifting heavy components and tools as required
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, document work performed, and convey technical information clearly
• Maintain a stable working record with traceable references

Requirements

• Trade Tested: Mechanic
• Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on yellow machines or similar heavy equipment
• Experience with brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, or similar is desirable
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently
• Meticulous attention to detail to perform thorough inspections
