About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Gatekeeper/Stock Controller to join our team in Milnerton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock management, maintaining records, and verifying quantities against production records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive finished products from production and verify quantities against production records.
- Accurately record all stock movements between production and Finished Goods.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain accurate stock records at all times.
- Complete and maintain all stock transfer documentation accurately.
- Verify that all Bills of Materials (BOMs) are correct and accurately reflect the products manufactured.
- Ensure production orders are correctly backflushed (BOM processed) in the Pick System before stock is transferred to Finished Goods.
- Ensure all pallets and finished products have been inspected, approved, and signed off by Quality before acceptance into Finished Goods.
- Regularly lift, move, and repack pallets from plastic pallets to wooden pallets with bags weighing up to 25kg.
- Repack pallets according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure pallets are correctly wrapped, labelled, and secured.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and backflushing processes.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
