Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Control Room Operator to join a professional security team at a prestigious corporate site in the greater Sandton area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and responding to security operations from a central control room, ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets. This role requires strong technical competence, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm and make quick, informed decisions under pressure.

Requirements

  • Valid PSIRA Grade B (or higher) qualification.

  • Proven experience working in a security control room environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Competent in the use of CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.

  • Proficient computer literacy, including working with incident reporting and monitoring software.

  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.

  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional standards.
