About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our stock management processes. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate all data on stock reports received from all warehouses, including lot numbers, bag numbers, and piece counts.
  • Address and follow up on any discrepancies immediately until corrected reports are received.
  • Ensure all warehouses provide the Goods Received Note within 48 working hours of offloading and update the stock master data accordingly.
  • Ensure all warehouses provide the Goods Dispatched Note within 48 working hours of cargo being dispatched from the warehouses.
  • Verify the accuracy of each packing list upon receipt, address any anomalies immediately, and ensure that any issues are resolved and corrected within one working hour.
  • Ensure no cargo at the warehouse remains for more than 15 days from arrival. Escalate and follow up to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Prepare an accurate consolidated stock report per buyer three times weekly.
  • Share via email and WeChat groups to ensure timely communication.
  • Ensure warehouses produce stamped stock results by the 3rd working day of each month, verifying the previous month’s stock.
  • Cross-check these results against LSP stock reports.
  • Submit a comprehensive monthly stock report, using the standard template, to the Supervisor and Manager, covering stock status across all warehouses.
  • Review stock aging weekly to identify and report any cargo held beyond standard turnaround times, and escalate potential bottlenecks to management.
  • Conduct a weekly audit to cross-check warehouse stock levels against offloaded data from tracking reports, ensuring that all cargo is correctly accounted for and any discrepancies are identified and resolved without delay.
  • Prepare a weekly stock time report for management, calculating the average stock time across all corridors.
