Johannesburg: Medical Sales Representative

About the Role

As a Medical Sales Representative in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Surgical Equipment/Surgical Endoscopy, Surgical Devices/Sterile Devices, Surgical Instruments, and ENT product portfolios within the Pretoria and Johannesburg territory. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, conduct product demonstrations, and provide clinical application support to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell SE (Surgical Equipment/Surgical Endoscopy), SD (Surgical Devices/Sterile Devices), SI (Surgical Instruments), and ENT product portfolios within the Pretoria and Johannesburg territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, procurement departments, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct product demonstrations, theatre support, and clinical application support where required
  • Support theatre cases and assist healthcare professionals with product usage and technical support
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals and healthcare institutions
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts within both public and private healthcare sectors
  • Maintain strong knowledge of healthcare systems, procurement processes, and competitor activity
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Prepare sales reports, quotations, and territory activity updates
  • Attend industry events, product training sessions, and customer meetings
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and relationship management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Medical Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Sales, or related field
  • Minimum 35 years experience in medical device sales or related healthcare sales environment
  • Proven sales track record within healthcare or medical devices
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals in public and private sectors
  • Strong understanding of hospital environments and procurement processes
