About the Role
A prestigious hospitality lodge located in Skukuza, Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga, is seeking an exceptional Pastry Chef to join their team. As a creative and detail-driven individual, you will contribute to elevated guest dining experiences while maintaining high culinary and kitchen standards in a remote lodge setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pastry stock, preparation, and daily mise en place
- Develop and execute creative dessert and plated pastry presentation menus
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and professional kitchen procedures are maintained
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistency and high standards
- Maintain accurate inventory and ordering of ingredients
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef within hospitality or lodge kitchens
- Strong baking, dessert, and plated pastry presentation skills
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and professional kitchen procedures
- Ability to work in a remote or high-volume hospitality environment (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in culinary arts or related field
