About the Role

A prestigious hospitality lodge located in Skukuza, Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga, is seeking an exceptional Pastry Chef to join their team. As a creative and detail-driven individual, you will contribute to elevated guest dining experiences while maintaining high culinary and kitchen standards in a remote lodge setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pastry stock, preparation, and daily mise en place
• Develop and execute creative dessert and plated pastry presentation menus
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and professional kitchen procedures are maintained
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistency and high standards
• Maintain accurate inventory and ordering of ingredients

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef within hospitality or lodge kitchens
• Strong baking, dessert, and plated pastry presentation skills
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and professional kitchen procedures
• Ability to work in a remote or high-volume hospitality environment (advantageous)

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications in culinary arts or related field
