Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Location: Cavalli Wine Estate Cavalli Wine Estate is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our estate, equipment, and facilities. The successful candidate will be technically minded, hands-on, and able to manage a wide range of maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct technical checks, inspections, and safety assessments on farm equipment, infrastructure, vehicles, buildings, and tools. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple disciplines, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, cement work, painting, landscaping, tiling, and mechanical systems. Maintain accurate records: checklists, tool/equipment sign-in/out, consumable usage, and inventory control. Oversee workshop administration, ensuring the safekeeping, proper use, and care of all equipment and tools. Report damages, deficiencies, and required spares/consumables promptly to management. Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, acting as a safety representative and ensuring colleagues follow proper practices and PPE requirements. Supervise and allocate cleaning tasks to cleaners and scullers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to SOPs. Train staff in the safe use of cleaning products and equipment, while monitoring the cleanliness and serviceability of facilities and machinery. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience in a maintenance or technical supervisory role. Strong technical knowledge with hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, and mechanical repairs . A relevant trade certificate or technical qualification would be advantageous. Valid driver’s license essential. Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices and compliance requirements. Strong organizational and administrative skills, including inventory and record-keeping. Excellent problem-solving ability, communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage a small team effectively.
