About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager / GM to oversee daily operations of our award-winning fine dining restaurant in Somerset West. As a key attraction for a wide clientele, we require a hands-on leader who can drive exceptional guest experiences while managing staff, finances, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control staff to ensure high-quality service standards
- Drive sales growth through effective stock management, financial profitability, and GP targets
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and owners to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of signature wines, artisan beers, and trending alcoholic beverages
- Implement business and financial controls to optimize F&B operations
Requirements
- Strengths in managing and controlling staff
- Strong knowledge of signature wines, artisan beers, and trending alcoholic beverages
- Proven ability in managing stocks, financial profitability, and GP targets
- Ability to drive, train, and motivate quality service standards
- Highly efficient and up-to-date on Point of Sale and operating Systems
- Strong F&B Cost Control Skills
- Highly proficient in business and financial controls
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
